What was the highlight of Kuredu Island Resort & Spa
Once you go Sangu, you won’t want anything less!
Because we were on a tight budget, we had originally booked a Beach Bungalow and orange band (Bonthi restaurant). When looking at the All Inclusive Package we found we were on the ‘lowest rung’ and were worried we wouldn’t enjoy the holiday enough for the large cost (so we paid even more(!) to upgrade our room to a Beach Villa - blue band, Koamas restaurant - so we went up a rung on the banding for AI which gave us 2 buffet restaurants to use instead of one). When we arrived, we were told that we were being upgraded to a Water Villa at the adults only Sangu resort (including a red band - only higher is gold) for the entirety of our stay. We were absolutely flabbergasted and incredibly grateful to Kuredu for the very kind gesture. I will say that once you go to Sangu resort, you won’t want to go lower than that. Having said that, we did prefer lunch at the O Restaurant as it was cooler (as it’s on the windy part of the island) and a more enjoyable experience than the very humid and warm Sangu Restaurant. We spent a lot of the time lounging at O bar drinking the delish Masala Chai! The food at Sangu and O was incredible. We stayed only 4 nights so found there was plenty of choice (when people complain about a lack of diversity, I do think they expect too much - who eats a different breakfast every day at home? And here, you literally can - someone said in their Booking review that there was a lack of nice fruit but our experience was that all tropical fruits were present and delicious!) I have to say the staff were wonderful. Always friendly, always say hello and seem genuinely happy to be there serving us. The island was beautifully kept. We didn’t notice too much pollution from the vehicles driving around. They were constantly tidying the beaches of detritus and clearing up fallen leaves from the abundance of greenery. It truly is a remarkable resort. As a first experience of the Maldives and All Inclusive, we were very very pleasantly surprised.
Simply that we could only afford 4 nights!!! I wasn’t ready to come home just yet haha. The arms on the rattan tub chairs outside at the Sangu bar are too high to sit and chat, I couldn’t get close enough to my husband - would prefer tub chairs with lower arms, but I really am nit-picking! The sea plane lounge is not a ‘Kuredu lounge’ it’s a very large room, shared between many island resorts, so we were expecting something a little more luxurious than what we experienced - we received a voucher for a bottle of water and a tuna sandwich, not even a complimentary coffee, so were disappointed with this part of the trip. Mostly upset about the 4 hour (!) wait for the sea plane - we shouldn’t have to wait that long when other travellers were taken to Kuredu long before us.

A wonderful resort with ample areas to roam around offering a wide range of activities
Always a pleasure to visit Kuredu, hence as going back again in August. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Meals are delicious with a wide variety to choose from. Dive Center is tops!!

I LOVED everything about Kuredu, but what truly sets this trip/property apart is the staff. I mean, they are truly kind, helpful and fun. Jorge, Janesh,, Gurey and Azzuhan! Thank you for being patient and getting us everything we needed. Our absolute favorite staff member is Kalai, we literally followed him to every bar he was serving in LOL he is knowledgeable and just simply kind. Thank you all! We will definitely return and recommend this property to everyone we know
